On holiday in 10 hours

I will be driving to Kuantan and Cukai for a short haituus to recharge my battery and will resume my writing only when I am back. You see I don't carry or lug a laptop aroud when I am on holiday.
I saved HK $ 200 yesterday by using www.wotif.com to book a room at Real Casa, Macau. Incidentally HSBC credit card is having a promotion although I could not find it by googling " HSBC PROMO ". But In Hong Kong I will be staying in a guest house instead of hotel to save as much money as possible at deposit back into HSBC.
I am also one of the sudoku warriors going to war soon but I expect to be eliminated in the first round. Anything else is a bonus to me but I expect to scare the shit out of my opponent with all my wise man's look. Terms like sword fish, forcing chains are now part of my everyday's vocabulary. Got to go now to pack my barang.

The battle goes on

It looks as if I am using the blog as a diary to keep all my thoughts. I decided to take a break by going to the East Coast town of Kuantan and Cukai in 48 hours' time. The second name probably sound Greek to most people because it is commonly refer to as Kemaman town when Kemaman is actually a district. Now what is Cukai famous for? Well you are not a food connoisseur if you are not aware that this is the place that made stuffed crab famous. There are two original restaurants namely Tong Juan and Malaysia but my choice is Tong Juan. Tong Juan used to have a website at www.stuffedcrab.com but it looks the site has been hijacked. Just google the two words and you can find out more about the place. The next place to visit is the Hai Ping coffee shop where you can have cup of coffee with toast.

I will be staying at Duta Village which is new to me, probably have to spend a few minutes looking for the place. So you see I am quite fortunate to be going for holidays begining in 2 days' time. After returning from the east coast I will be paying Genting Highlands a visit and maybe with the grand old man of Genting having rest in peace, lady luck might be better on my side. Then on the 28th Nov 2007 I will be leaving for Hong Kong via Macau and the last time I was there Mr Kai Tak was still in operatin. Since I am flying into Macau I will have no opportunity to meet Mr Chep Lap Kok. Adios for now.

What a day

This mornimg I booked the same room using Mr Agoda but there was no reply. Maybe it is because today is Sunday and all the staff have not woke up from their slumber. I wrote a letter asking them why were they offering the room at that price when there are no vacancy. Strange creatures do things which I cannot fathom.

Dinner for me was at Italianiana Restaurant, The Curve. Guess what. My main course never arrived because they ran short of gas. No wonder my mushroom soup was not warm enough. So I had to pay for my soup and leave the place with an empty stomach. Wonder if I can file a claim for distress, pain and suffering. Any lawyer would like to take my case.

Failed to keep my appointment with Mr Photobucket so there won't be any pictures until next month.

I am still alive

Something did not turn out what I envisage today. I wonder whether it always happen to the poor consumer. I was on the internet trying to book a room and eventually settled on using the services of AGODA (www.agoda.com) . I thought I found a good offer ( or is it an invitation to treat ) and decided a buy a room at YMCA International Hong Kong. After completing all the formalities including giving my credit card number, they replied after 5 hours that there were no vacancy for the room I asked for and offered me another category of room which is 35 % more. Then they informed me that www.planetholiday.com and www.precisionreservations.com ( make sure you include the last 's' or you land somewhere else ) are all the in the same group. Now now, they all have beautiful pages and look impressive but I don't know whether to believe them anymore. Maybe someone out there can advise me whether I can sue them for wasting my precious time. Adios for now.

24 hours later

No wonder many bloggers stop blogging after some time because it is not easy to keep going. I told my daughter that she will have to help me load some image later and she introduced me to Mr Photobucket. Well Mr Photobucket sounds a complete stranger to me and I shall be meeting him over the weekend.Exploring around I saw that the third icon/image from the right is to add image so the only problem left is to get a digital camera and start loading the pictures. At the moment I am also planning my holidays to Macau and Hong Kong. When I started searching the web and realised that hotels in Hong Kong are rather expensive about US$ 100 for a tiny room in a 3 stars hotel. I should have gone to Vietnam instead but it is already too late as the air tickets were purchased last week. In fact I tried learning a few phrases of Vietnamese and found out its difficulty in having 6 tones. So now I have to brush up my Cantonese as this is the lingua fraca of Hong Kong. Try saying this in Cantonese to your Cantonese friend : Throw your mother's smelly flowery shoes into the sea with crabs. If he does not chase you out with a chopper than you have got all the tones correctly. Gong Heir.

WHERE DO I BEGIN?

I have no inkling where I should start? I have learn Mandarin without a teacher and now I am trying to do the same for blogging. Whenever I try to get help or assistance from my daughter she complains that I am too slow for her pace. I kept on dreaming to be able to put up a beautiful and impressive blog with all sorts of linkages and photographs but unfortunately I am too broke to own a digital camera. I don't know whether today is an auspicious day to launch my blog, maybe a feng shui master or an Indian astrologer can read the stars for me. That is all for now but I will be back tomorrow. Not bad for a first time blogger sitting all alone. Thank You. Xie Xie. Danke. Merci. Shukran. Arigatoo Gozaimasu. Gamsa Hamnida. Cam En. Kob Koon. Terima Kasih.Grazie.
